(Yahoo!) - In a word: YEOW! Beyoncé suffered a (literally) hair-raising emergency on stage in Montreal Monday night, when her long locks somehow got caught in a stage fan — necessitating scissors to cut her free.
The superstar was singing "Halo" at the time of the accident. Remarkably, she did not stop the performance; rather, she calmly sat down and continued with the tune as the stage crew attempted to free her.
Thankfully, the fan did not appear to be running at the time — otherwise, we're sure she would have punctuated that song with ashriek! However, as anyone with long hair knows, it's never fun to get tangled up in this manner; and at the very least it's a bit on the embarrassing side.
TMZ captured video of the hairy ordeal:
Well, at least we can rest easy knowing she's got access to the best hairstylists to fix this little mishap! Bey later commented on the incident with a game sense of humor.
On Instagram, she posted some handwritten lyrics about the ordeal, including the gem, "I felt my hair was yankiiiiin/ From the fan that's always hatiiiiin."
