Demi Lovato has found her way back to acting with a new role on Fox's "Glee." On Thursday night, she made her debut on the show as Dani, an aspiring singer and the love interest of Santana, played by Naya Rivera. As "Glee's" two-part Beatles tribute continues, the two sang "Here Comes The Sun."
Dani is one of the singing waitresses at the Broadway diner where Santana works with Rachel and Kurt, played by Lea Michele and Chris Colfer. When they meet for the first time, Santana becomes intimidated by the confident and edgy Dani, confessing to Rachel that she's nervous because she's only ever dated bisexuals. Dani opens up to Santana, telling her that she moved to New York to pursue her music dreams after her parents reacted badly to her coming out. The two shared a kiss after their duet, while watching the sun come up after a long shift at the diner.
Dani will be a recurring character on the show's fifth season. On next week's episode, the cast will come together to pay tribute to their late co-star Cory Monteith, who died in July from a heroin and alcohol overdose.
