Chris Brown to remain in treatment

Chris Brown will remain in anger management treatment, despite calls from prosecutors that he be jailed for a probation violation.  The Los Angeles District Attorney argued on Monday that the singer's arrest for assault in Washington D.C. last October shows a pattern of increasing violence.

TMZ says prosecutors believe Brown is "an increasing danger to society," but a judge sided with the singer's attorney, Mark Geragos, and allowed him to stay in rehab.  Brown was ordered to spend 90 days in a residential treatment facility back in November.

While at the center, Brown has been subjected to several drug tests, all of which he's passed.  Brown has been on probation since 2009 when he pled guilty to assaulting his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna.  He will return to court on February 28th.

Last month, Chris Brown rejected a plea deal in his D.C. assault case.  He and his bodyguard are accused of striking a man outside of a hotel in the nation's capital.  That trial will continue on February 20th.
